Seat

The Seat 600 entered production in May 1957 as a Spanish-built version of the Fiat 600 and quickly became the car that put Spain on wheels during the country's economic boom. Affordable, compact and reliable, it was the best-selling car in Spain for much of the 1960s. Early models featured rear-hinged "suicide" doors, while later versions gained conventional doors, improved styling and updated equipment. Variants included a canvas-roof convertible and a commercial van. In 1963, Seat introduced the exclusive four-door Seat 800, developed only for the Spanish market. Built until 1967, just 18,200 cars were produced, making it one of Seat's rarest models. Production of the 600 ended in 1973, with almost 800,000 units produced.
