Riley
One-Point-Five
1957-1965
In November 1957, right after the London Motor Show, the Riley One-Point-Five was introduced. It was very similar to the Wolseley 1500, introduced earlier the same year. It utilised the Morris Minor floorpan, suspension and steering, but was fitted with a larger 1,489 cc engine. The Series II was released in May 1960. The most notable external difference was the hidden boot and bonnet hinges. Interior storage was improved with the fitting of a full width parcel shelf directly beneath the fascia. The Series III, introduced in October 1961, featured revisions to the grille and front and rear lights. Production ended in 1965 with a total of 19,568 units made.
