Lancia
Fulvia
1963-1976
At the 1963 Geneva Motor Show Lancia introduced the Fulvia as the successor to the Appia. In 1964, the 1,091 cc engine was upgraded to 70 hp, the car was now marketed as the Fulvia 2C. In 1965, a two-door coupé entered the market, designed in-house by Piero Castagnero. That same year Zagato released the Fulvia Sport, an alternative fastback coupé built on the coupé floorpan. Later versions included the Berlina GT with a 1,216 cc engine and the coupé HF with a tuned version of the 1,216 cc engine and lightened bodywork.

The Fulvia Berlina was updated in August 1969 with a redesigned body on a 20 mm longer wheelbase and an updated interior. An altered roofline provided more space for rear-seat passengers. The second series Fulvia Sport was launched at the 1970 Salone dell'Automobile di Torino. Changes included a 5-speed gearbox and wider tyres. Very early versions of these Series II Sport cars were fitted with Series I bodyshells with aluminium doors and a side-hinged aluminium bonnet. Later versions have all-steel bodyshells and a front-hinged bonnet.
