Ferrari
365
1966-1971
At the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, the Ferrari 365 California was introduced. It was a Pininfarina designed cabriolet with a 4,390 cc V8 engine and the same chassis as its predecessor, the Ferrari 500 Superfast. Only 14 units had been built when production ended in 1967. The most successful 365 model was the GT 2+2, introduced in 1967 and replacing the 330 GT 2+2. It was a luxurious car with leather seats, power steering and brakes, electric windows and optional air conditioning. It quickly became the company's top-selling model with about 800 produced in four years. In 1968 the 365 GTC and GTS were introduced, essentially a re-engine of the 330 GTC/GTS, with the engine increasing from 3,967 cc to 4,390 cc. The styling remained almost unchanged. 168 coupé's and 20 spiders have been built between 1968 and 1970.
