Ferrari

308 GTB, GTS

1975-1985

The Pininfarina-styled Ferrari 308 GTB was introduced at the 1975 Modial de l’Automobile in Paris as a replacement for the Dino 246. A targa version called 308 GTS was presented at the 1977 Internationale Automobil Ausstellung in Frankfurt. At first, the body was entirely made of glass-reinforced plastic, allowing a very light weight of 1,050 kg. As of June 1977, Ferrari switched to steel bodies, resulting in an overall weight increase of approximately 150 kg. The 308 GTS was made famous by the television series Magnum, P.I. in which the series' lead drove the car around Oahu, Hawaii for eight seasons, from 1980 to 1988.
