Chevrolet

The Caprice name was introduced in mid-1965 as a luxury trim package for the Impala four-door hardtop. As of model year 1966 Chevrolet offered a full line of seperate Caprice models. The Caprice was positioned as the top-line full-size Chevrolet and was built in four different generations until 1996. In the Middle-East and certain South-American markets however, Statesman and Caprice models built by GM's Australian subsidiary Holden, were marketed as Chevrolet Caprice from 1999 until 2017.
