Saab

93

1955-1960

In December 1955 the Saab 93 was introduced, the first Saab to be exported from Sweden, with most exports going to the United States. It was powered by a three-cylinder, 748 cc two-stroke engine. The gearbox had just three gears, the first one unsynchronised. In September 1957, the 93 B was introduced, with the original two-piece windshield being replaced with a one-piece windshield. In late 1959, the 93 F entered the market, featuring front-hinged doors. Production ended in 1960 when the 93 was replaced by the Saab 96. A total of 52,731 units had been made.
