DAF
750, Daffodil
1961-1967
In 1961 the DAF 750 and the slightly better equipped Daffodil were introduced. They were fitted with a 746 cc two-cylinder boxer engine. Both cars had the Variomatic automatic transmission, carried over from the DAF 600. The 750 was a slow seller - only 16,000 units had been sold in two years - and production ended in 1963. The Daffodil was more popular and remained in production until 1967, by which time more than 130,000 units had been built. The Daffodil was replaced by the very similar but slightly more powerful DAF 33.
