Matra

Bagheera

1973-1980

In December 1969, Matra entered into a partnership agreement with Simca. From then on, the cars were marketed as Matra-Simca, allowing Matra to benefit from Simca's strength and extensive dealer network. The first project was a successor to the Matra 530, which would lead to the Bagheera. It was a distinctive car with three front seats and a fiberglass-reinforced polyester body. The Bagheera was succeeded in 1980 by the Talbot Matra Murena.
